Download Update Tool and Update File

1.Register a member in www.superobd.com

2.Register your SKP-900 in your member centre in your member centre

3.Download the update file in your member centre, and unzip it to get the update bin file.

4.Download the update tool

Perform the Update Steps

5.Connect OBD2 key Programmer SKP-900 to the computer using the USB cable

6.Run the update tool, click OPEN to open the update bin file

7.Click Auto Scan Port button to setup the COM port

8.Click UPDATE button to start update.

CAUTION: It takes about 37 minutes for a update. DO NOT DISCONNECT THE SKP-900 WHILE UPDATING!

I was looking for an example like Testing GM HVAC with GM Tech2. I have an 08 CTS that has the intermittent ticking mode door actuator. After an accidental battery drain, the passenger side stopped blowing cold air although for the past few months I noticed at times it lagged behind the driver side, temp wise. The driver side had always been fine until after the battery drain. It normally starts out fine with vent temps as low as 37 deg but has begun to fade mainly when the car is started up after cabin temps are already high where it hovers around 70 deg. I plugged in the Tech 2 which I’m still fairly new to and checked the blend doors cautiously as I didn’t want to create more trouble by initiating a test that I did not fully understand.

There were no stored codes and the mode door and recirculation door appeared to have functioned normally as the values and air sound in the vents changed when they were commanded. The blend door motors however, both stayed fixed at 51 counts which I believe corresponds to the lowest temp setting of 60 deg they were set at. When I increased the console temp it also increased on the Tech 2 display but the counts did not change and the vent temps seemed to maintain the same bias with the passenger side blowing hot. The counts did not change when the temps were raised for each actuator using theAuto Scan Tool Tech 2 either.

I did not perform the "On/Off” button test that you did here because I was not sure what it would do at the time, but intend to give that a try. I have also read that there is a calibration procedure that can be performed that I need to investigate further. I believe my situation is a combination of both calibration and actuator deterioration being brought to the surface by the recent battery drain.

I recommend that you buy gm tech2 on OBD2 website. They are cheap, logistics is fast, and after-sales service is also very good. I have been using it for a year and there is no problem with the quality of the product.

Step 1

Plug the wiTech MicroPod 2 device into the OBD port and connect the USB cable from the device to your laptop. This wakes the BUS on the car.

Step 2

Manually enter the VIN of the vehicle. This gives you access to the module list. Select the RFH (Radio Frequency Hub) module. This is the module where the key is registered.

Step 3

Next select "Miscellaneous Functions,” then "Program Ignition Fobix.” At this point, you are prompted to enter the VIN again, followed by the four-digit PIN Code.

Step 4

After the four-digit pin is entered you are prompted to hit continue to "Program Ignition FOBIK.” Once you hit continue you must press the UNLOCK button on the FOBIX within 30 seconds (the FOBIX needs to be located near the center console during this procedure).

Step 5

Programming of the Ignition FOBIX is now successful. The new key key is accepted into the car, and the ignition will now turn on and start the car. At this point, you also have the option to program a second key.

Things to Remember:

You must be online to program the key.
The PIN Code is only good for one session, which lasts 72 hours. After 72 hours the pin code expires.
If you input the wrong code for three-time it locks the BCM and you cannot service the vehicle for 24 hours.
The key is one-time programmable. Once married to the vehicle it is locked to the car forever. The key can be erased from the car and put back into the same car, but can’t be switched to another car.
The placement of the key during initialization is important. It needs to be placed either behind the shifter or in the center console.

Test: ND900 Mini and VVDI Keytool with Ford Chip 4D83 80bit for a spare key copy

Test 1: Xhorse VVDI Key tool on Ford 83

Confirmed! VVDI keytool can copy Ford 83 chips:
First, put the original car key into the left coil of VVDI Keytool..start to read Ford 83 transponder data
Then, keep network available and press "calculate” to submit calculating data
The last, put VVDI special 4D transponder into the left coil of the Keytool… press "write” to complete cloning

Important:
Ford 4D 63 40bits: no need to copy chips online
Ford 4D 83 80bits: MUST calculate chip data online

Mini 900 can’t do it.

There are several key programmers will do Ford/Mazda, but seldom tools cover newer vehicles 2017 up. Both AURO OtoSys IM100/ IM600 Mazda software releases to latest and supports year up to 2018 key programming. Here’s the guide to program smart key for Mazda2 year 2018.

At least 2 keys are required to be learned to start engine

Connect IM100/IM600 host with vehicle via OBD socket

Select IMMO->Select or auto search Mazda->Manual Selection->Mazda2->2017 up->Smart Key->Keyless System (CAN)->Add smart keys

Turn on ignition switch

Auro IM100 detects current number of smart keys: 2

System configuration in progress. Wait for about 7 minutes until you can hear vehicle horn

Depress the brake for A/T vehicles and clutch for M/T vehicles.
Put the smart key close to the START button

3rd key programming succeed

Key learning success. Press Yes to program next key.

Do following procedure:
Turn ignition off.
Depress the brake pedal, put the head of one learned key close to the START button, start the engine for 3s and then turn the ignition off.

Repeat this procedure for each learned key.

Success.

The making of a smart key for a ’14 Dodge Charger was fast & easy: the only trick was that I had to chose Journey from the vehicle list. Pin reading and programming was done in 2 mins.

I’ve made the programming mostly with the SKP900.

Reply: K518ISE doesn’t support Ford MVP car so far.

Strange, but true: If you chose AKL @ Transit, then you can program only one key too, the difference is that the remote controller will be disabled, and the immo LED won’t switch off, but you can start the car. Tested @ my mates transit, worked fine with only one key fine for 3 days, then was the second key added, because he hated to open the backdoor with two turns to open direction on the driver’s door. When I added the second key, the remote began to work again (was added before teaching key).

I think it is a good tool if you have to deal with smart keys – if pin is needed and the Lonsdor can’t deliver it I don’t try again when i get the codes.

Today I have programmed a Chevrolet cruze akl, read pincode type 1 well, but there is a bug in the function of programming keys, akl it says programming error after the counter of 10 minutes, it can be done in the function add keys, it works correctly but at end enters an infinite loop and never ends. Just unplug the machine and complete the procedure. This is when more than one key to be programmed.

Question: Somebody tested Volvo key programming? Interested fact is te calculation data has ‘it’s term of validty’. I mean if we calculate data from CEM Lonsdor accept calculated file but if we try it next day, then device say wrong file and we need to calculate one more time. I havent chance to test on real car yet, now just plyaing with CEM units. But I wonder how they calculate those datas and why they expire

Answer: If you use other key programmer to read out the data, then K518 need to transfer, and it will have ‘it’s term of validty’. If you directly use K518 + KPROG to read out and automatically save into K518, then it won’t have the validty.

Question: Can Key Programmer Lonsdor K518 do Toyota G /H all keys lost?

Answer: G chip is tested working fine.
H normal keys add successfully.
H all keys lost can’t work incl. both smart keys and normal keys).

1. Powering Up

Press the Lock/Power button on the top right side of the display tablet to switch the unit on. The system boots up, and shows the lock screen. Press and drag the inner ring to the edge of the circle to unlock the screen; the Autel MaxiSYS MS906 Job Menu is shown.

NOTE: The screen is locked by default when you first turn on the display tablet. It is recommended to lock the screen to protect information in the system and reduce battery usage.

Almost all operations on the display tablet are controlled through the touch screen. The touch screen navigation is menu driven, which allows you to quickly locate the test procedure, or data that you need, through a s eries of choices and questions. Detailed descriptions of the menu structures are found in the chapters for the various applications.

1.1 Application Buttons

The Application buttons configure theMaxisys for the type of operation or activity to be performed. The table below gives brief descriptions of the available applications.
Use your finger tip to select an application from the Job Menu.

1.2 Locator and Navigation Buttons

To use the camera:
1. Tap the Camera button. The camera screen opens.
2. Focus the image to be captured in the view finder.
3. Tap the inner blue circle. The view finder now shows the captured picture and auto-saves the taken photo.
4. Tap the thumbnail image on the top right corner of the screen to view the stored image.
5. Tap the Back or Home button to exit the camera application.

1.3 System Status Icons

These are the standard status icons of the Android operating system. Your display tablet is a fully functional Android Pad. Refer to Android documentation for additional information.
By tapping on this area (bottom right corner), a S hortcuts Panel will be displayed, on which you are allowed to set various system settings of the tablet. Operations of each button on the panel are described in the table below:

2. Powering Down

All vehicle communications must be terminated before shutting down the display tablet. A warning message displays if you attempt to shut down while the display tablet is communicating with the vehicle. Forcing a shut down while communicating may lead to ECM problems on some vehicles. Exit the Diagnostics application before powering down.

To power down the display tablet:
1. Press and hold the Lock/Power Button.
2. Tap Power off option.
3. Tap OK; the tablet will turn off in a few seconds.

2.1 Reboot System

In case of system crash, press and hold the Lock/Power button for 8 seconds to reboot the system.

3 Installing Computer Software

The MaxiSys Diagnostic Platform allows you to realize some of its functions on a c omputer to enhance capabilities and i mprove user experience. To realize these functions on a computer, you need to install certain software.
There are two Setup.exe program packages contained in the CD provided with the MaxiSys tool kit. The packages include the following applications:

To install the Setup.exe program
1. Insert the CD into the CD-ROM of the computer. The driver installation wizard will load momentarily.
2. Click on Next on the welcome page.
3. Click the Change button, and select a destination folder to install the program, and click Next to continue. Or directly click Next to continue without changing the default installation folder.
4. Click Install and the Setup.exe program will be installed onto the computer.

3.1 Printing Operation

This section describes how to receive file from the display tablet and perform printing through the computer:

To perform printing through the computer
1. Install the PC Link (Printing Services program) to the computer.
2. Make sure the obd2tool.com MS906 tablet is connected to the computer network, either via Wi-Fi or LAN, before printing.
3. Run the Printing Services program on the computer.
4. Tap the Print button on the toolbar displayed in various applications of the MaxiSys system. A temporary file will be created and sent to

After surfing the net looking for some goodies for my ’06 C4 I cam across Porsche Piwis Tester II. This company Obd2tool.com is selling the PIWIS II system, it has offline and online functions, to support ONLINE function, valid certificate must be available for Porsche Piwis Tester II.

Additional settings enabled for TPMS system with a borrowed gray market PIWIS. My 2006 C2S did not come with the TPM option. The hardest part of the retrofit was manually running wires as the wires were not in the front and rear main harnesses in my car. Then it needed programming with PIWIS to activate.

The biggest difference with the track tire settings is you define the target pressures. The other settings are predefined base on summer vs winter, 18 vs 19, partial vs full load. Not positive but I think the size option was also enabled.

The "Track Tire” is the special setting. There is an option in car diagnostic scanner PIWIS to rename it to whatever you want. My OCD struggled with "Track Tyre” to match the other settings or "Track Tire” as it’s properly spelled where I live. I settled on the latter
